Lost

When I was in the Army I was really bad at land navigation.  I spent a lot of time lost in the woods.  Until I asked for help and got some additional attention. Here are a few life lessons I gleaned from being lost in the woods.

  • Starting out on the right path is always better than going wrong, discovering you’re lost, and then adjusting.
  • Running in the wrong direction is worse than walking in the wrong direction.
  • The longer you go in the wrong direction the further you end up away from where you really want to be.
  • There’s no shame in asking which way to go.
