Today….
You have the chance to, reach out to just about anyone in the world you choose to (send them a Twitter message, ask to connect on Linkedin, or comment on their blog).
You have the chance to make a difference anywhere, for anything that moves you….don’t waste a moment.
You have the chance to lead the charge….stand up and say…”Here let me show you how this is done.”
You have the chance to speak what’s really on your mind, and in your heart.
You have the chance to do something that will matter, because actions speak louder than words.
You have the chance to choose to do what you want to do, go where you want to go, work on what you want to work on.
You have the chance to roll the dice, and risk everything on one turn of pitch and toss.
There’s still a dark cloud over our world, raining down barriers, nay sayers, haters, individuals who will unfairly judge you, and keepers of gates who will do everything possible to keep you out. But there’s a silver lining. And it’s that you’re living during a time when economics, and technology have come together to allow you the best chance in the history of the world to take a chance.
More than at anytime before, people just like you, and just like me can take a chance,
to quit
to start
to speak
to care
to go
to do…something that just might shake up the world
Be brave…take your chance!
Congrats to my dear friend Tyrone Brittingham. Only nine years from from a U.S. government retirement he found the grit to quit his job, take his chance, and do what he loves…acting.
Update: Many of the young women at my daughters school today took their chance to raise their collective voices in a creative way to raise awareness of the number of unarmed black men who are killed by police officers.
