Why Marketing Is Confusing

Marketing is confusing because there’s two kinds.

There’s the kind you hate. The popups (I especially hate these), spam (these 2), private data tracking, interruptions, price gauging, overhyped and under-designed type that far too many people specialize in.

And then there’s the kind that moves us 2 do more, 2 be more, inspires us, delights us and brings us something we truly want.

Although they are both called marketing they are vastly different.

Selfish marketing is done at us because profits need to be turned, and because “the boss made me do it”.

Unselfish marketers market with us, for us, and because of.
